Skin Type & Concerns
Skin Type: All Skin Types
Addresses: Fine lines, wrinkles, photoaging, rough texture, dull complexion, uneven skin tone, loss of firmness
How to Use
Apply Retivance® in the evening only, after cleansing and toning. Start with a pea-sized amount applied thinly and evenly to the face and neck. Avoid the eye area and corners of the mouth. Begin with 2–3 nights per week and gradually increase to nightly as your skin adjusts. Always use SPF 50 the following morning — retinoids significantly increase sun sensitivity.
Key Ingredients
- Retinoid Complex — Accelerates natural cell turnover, stimulates collagen synthesis, and improves the clinical appearance of photoaged skin; the gold-standard class of anti-aging active ingredients with decades of peer-reviewed evidence
- Skin-Conditioning Agents — Buffer the retinoid to improve tolerability and minimize dryness, peeling, or irritation during the adjustment period
Professional Tips
Retinoid purging (temporary dryness, flaking, or breakouts) can occur in the first 2–4 weeks — this is normal and indicates the product is working. Moisturize generously after application and never skip morning SPF. Start slowly, be consistent, and the results — smoother, firmer, more even skin — will follow. Pair with OBAGI® REBALANCE during the adjustment period to support the skin barrier.
